Quarterback Jalon Daniels has agreed to a new deal to play for Kansas Football through the 2025 season, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
Daniels, who has dealt with injury problems throughout his career, played in all 12 games last season for the Jayhawks, throwing for 2,454 yards and 20 total touchdowns. He took to Twitter to announce his return.
“Kansas has been my home, my family, and my foundation. This journey has been nothing short of incredible, but we’re not done yet. The work continues, and the best is still ahead,” Daniels said.
“I’m ready to lead the Kansas Jayhawks into the 2025 season and am fully focused on becoming the best QB possible. I’m staying to finish what we’ve started, continuing to build, and to give back to the fans who’ve given us everything. Let’s make history, Jayhawk Nation!”
Jalon Daniels will try to lead the Jayhawks back into playoff contention in 2025, looking to improve on a 5-7 season.
