Everyone knows Logies, Dempsey’s, Jefferson’s and Leroy’s Tavern, but here are three underrated spots to watch Super Bowl LIX on Sunday.

The first hidden gem is Mr. Brews Taphouse, located on Massachusetts Street. Mr. Brews makes for a great game day location as it has tons of TV’s and draft beers. It will also feature Super Bowl specials that are a bang for its buck.
“We are going to be doing two for $12 apps, $1 wings and then $4 KC beers,” says employee Ashlynn DaSilva.
One of the best deals around, Mr. Brews Taphouse will have its regular hours, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and will be a great place to catch the game of the year.
The second undiscovered treasure is The Bourgeois Pig, also located on Massachusetts Street. This hole-in-the-bar will have a massive projector playing the game and will have an abundance of snacks and drinks to go along.
“We are going to do a watch party, so anybody could come and hang out with us,” says bartender Leah Shinkle.
A very welcoming cocktail bar, The Bourgeois Pig makes for a superb spot to watch the Chiefs and Eagles battle it out.
The third and final overlooked location to watch the game is no other than the comfort of your own home.
Since Sunday is also National Pizza Day, many restaurants in Lawrence will offer pizza carryout deals, such as Minsky’s Pizza on Mass Street, which will offer $3 off any large gourmet pizzas. Big Mill on Mississippi Street will also be having a carryout deal including a $10 sausage, pepperoni, cheese or honeymoon Detroit-style pizza.
Not only is Super Bowl Sunday a day for football, but it’s also a day to indulge, so don’t be shy to eat that extra slice.
