About KUJH

Welcome to KUJH-TV and our Fall 2026 semester. Our show focuses on delivering reliable, interesting, and informative news to Lawrence, Kansas, and its surrounding communities. KUJH operates through the combined efforts of two classes at the University of Kansas School of Journalism, JMC 552 and 620. We take pride in lending a hand to our young journalists so they can develop skills applicable to all facets of a professional broadcast station. We’re excited to provide our audience with fresh content this season. More about the team working on the show is below.

Meet the Team!

Jaden Huehl

Executive Producer

Jaden Huehl is a senior from Sylvan Grove, Kansas majoring in multimedia journalism and secondary English education. Huehl is the Executive Producer of KUJH, where she leads student journalists in producing news coverage for the University of Kansas community. Outside of KUJH, she is involved with Media Crossroads as the executive producer and host of “Crimson Chat” and as the news director for “Good Morning Indian Country.” Huehl also gained professional newsroom experience at WIBW-TV in Topeka, where she worked as a production intern and producer, producing weekend evening newscasts and assisting with election coverage. She is passionate about public affairs journalism, meaningful storytelling and creating opportunities for student journalists to grow their skills.

Ela Bjork

Producer

Ela Bjork is a senior from Adel, Iowa, majoring in multimedia journalism with minors in political science and business. This is Bjork’s first semester with KUJH. She has also worked as a producer for “Good Evening KU” and a copy editor for “The University Daily Kansan.” Outside of school, Bjork can be found working as a KU Student Ambassador, teaching fitness classes at the campus recreation center and hanging out with friends.

Sarah Lasak

Producer

Sarah Lasak is a journalist from Wichita, KS. She is a senior majoring in media arts and production and multimedia journalism. Lasak has been a part of Media Crossroads for three years and is currently the technical director for “Good Morning Indian Country,” an award-winning Native American news program. Additionally, she is a multimedia journalism intern at WIBW in Topeka. Regardless of where her career takes her, she hopes to evoke powerful emotions in the people who experience her work. Along with broadcast television and video production, Lasak can never get enough of BTS, travel and fashion.

Merritt Mitchell

Consistency Producer

Merritt Mitchell is a senior from Wheaton, Illinois, studying journalism with a minor in communications. This is her second semester with KUJH, and she is excited to further her experience in broadcast news. Over the summer, Mitchell was a communications intern for Oncor Electric Delivery, where she gained experience in storytelling, writing and digital media. Outside of KUJH, Mitchell is a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in communications.

Alexis Jungman

Digital Producer

Alexis Jungman is a senior from Wichita, Kansas, studying multimedia journalism and political science on the pre-law track. She has written various stories for the “University Daily Kansan” and worked as a copy editor for the publication last year. Jungman also wrote the “Go This Week” section for her local newspaper, The Wichita Eagle, for four years. This is her first year with KUJH. Jungman also enjoys representing the university as a KU student ambassador, spending time with friends and traveling to new places. After graduation, she plans to attend law school to pursue a career as a media attorney, advocating for the rights of journalists and defending news organizations in court.

Katherine Vrana

Digital Producer

Katherine Vrana is a senior from Overland Park, Kansas, majoring in multimedia journalism and minoring in business. She is one of the digital producers for KUJH, but has previous experience as a multimedia journalist. This is her second semester with KUJH, and she is excited to further develop her broadcast skills. Vrana interned at a nonprofit, Young Women on the Move, teaching podcasting and photography to kids. Outside of KUJH, she teaches “Barre + Pilates” at the KU recreation center. She can’t wait to work and learn from the KUJH crew.

Savannah Lawson

Social Media Producer

Savannah Lawson is a senior studying multimedia journalism and minoring in film studies. She was part of “Brains N’ Beauties,” a journalism program that focuses on KU’s student life and provides tools to help students navigate the college experience. Now, she is a social media producer for KUJH and KU’s Housing & Residence Life. After college, Lawson wants to explore career paths in video production, as well as social media marketing and engagement.

Eli Greenwald

Sports Director/Anchor

Eli Greenwald is a senior from Chicago, Illinois, majoring in journalism with a concentration in sports media and society and a minor in sport management. This is Greenwald’s second semester at KUJH, but his first as sports director. Greenwald is also a reporter for “Playmakers KU.” In Chicago, Greenwald works as the director of social media for Elite Baseball Training, where he creates content for all socials. Outside of the studio, he enjoys listening to music, watching sports and playing baseball. After graduation, he would like to return to Chicago to work for a local media outlet.

Jack Kenna

Sports Director/Anchor

Jack Kenna is a senior from Grand Island, Nebraska, majoring in journalism and minoring in sport management. This is Kenna’s second semester with KUJH, but his first as sports director. Last semester, while working as a reporter, he developed a passion for covering athletics. Kenna works for several other University of Kansas shows, including “Playmakers KU,” the University Daily Kansan, and KJHK. In his free time, Kenna can be found enjoying time with friends and family and watching any and all types of sports.

Caden Moffitt

Sports Director/Anchor

Caden Moffitt is a senior from Overland Park, Kansas majoring in sports media journalism and theatre. This is Moffitt’s first semester with KUJH, and he is part of the sports team working as a sports anchor and multimedia journalist. Outside of KUJH, Moffitt is the public address announcer for the KU swim and dive team and a control booth intern for the Kansas City Monarchs baseball team. Moffitt’s hobbies include hiking, camping, watching sports and hanging out with friends. He’s looking forward to delivering a great show for everyone.

Adeline Raebel

Sports Director/Anchor

Adeline Raebel is a senior from Bay City, Wisconsin, pursuing a degree in journalism with a minor in sports management. She is an active member of multiple Media Crossroads shows within the school of journalism, including “Playmakers KU” and “Good Morning KU”. This will be her second year with KUJH, and she is excited to continue gaining valuable experience in the news industry. Raebel currently works for Prep Baseball in Kansas City as an operations intern, where she serves as an assistant tournament director. Outside of KUJH, she enjoys reading, spending time with family and staying active. Following graduation, her goal is to work for the NCAA as a multimedia reporter.

Gabriel Stigers

Sports Director/Anchor

Gabriel Stigers is a senior from Kansas City, Kansas, majoring in journalism with a concentration in sports media and society and a minor in sport management. In addition to being part of the KUJH Sports team this semester, Stigers also serves as a radio play-by-play broadcaster for the University of Kansas baseball team and as a reporter for “Playmakers KU”.

Evelyn Vigil

Multimedia Journalist/Anchor

Evelyn Vigil is a senior from Thornton, Colorado, studying journalism and mass communications with a concentration in multimedia journalism and minoring in business. In addition to KUJH, Vigil is a part of the Tri-Alpha First Generation Honors Society and Fashion in Business Club. Over the summer, she was a police information officer intern in Commerce City, Colorado, where she learned how to professionally inform the public about safety issues through social media. After graduating, Vigil hopes to have a career in reporting in Colorado and further her writing skills.

Alyx Wood

Multimedia Journalist/Anchor

Alyx Wood is a senior from Lawrence, Kansas, majoring in multimedia journalism with a minor in business. This past summer, she interned as a news reporter at KMBC 9 in Kansas City, covering breaking news, the FIFA World Cup and other events across the city. This is her second semester with KUJH. She also worked as a sports reporter for “Playmakers KU” and “Run It Back” and as an arts and culture writer for the University Daily Kansan. Outside of the newsroom, Wood can be found traveling and reading. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career covering breaking news and other impactful stories.

Jake Feightner

Multimedia Journalist

Jake Feightner is a Senior from Chicago, Illinois, majoring in sports journalism and minoring in sports management. He currently works for “Rock Chalk Video” in the Kansas Athletic Department, where he works on the broadcast/live production and creative side. Outside of school, you can find Feightner shooting KU athletics, going to the gym, playing pickleball and hanging out with friends.

Taylor Graf

Weather Forecaster/Multimedia Journalist

Taylor Graf is a junior from Basehor, Kansas, studying multimedia journalism and atmospheric science. This is her first semester with KUJH as a multimedia journalist. Outside of the newsroom, she works as a suite attendant at Arrowhead Stadium and is the senior coordinator for Sigma Kappa. She loves spending time with her family, friends and dog.

Philip Givens

Multimedia Journalist

Philip Givens is a junior studying multimedia journalism from Wichita, Kansas. He worked on“Good Evening KU” during his first semester of freshman year and was an intern over the summer with KSNT Channel 27 News in Topeka. He is passionate about political journalism and impartial reporting and seeks to grow as a young journalist.

Oliver Marsh

Multimedia Journalist

Oliver Marsh is a senior from Wichita, Kansas, majoring in journalism with concentrations in multimedia and sports media and society. He is also pursuing a sport management minor. This is his first semester with KUJH. Outside of the journalism school, Marsh enjoys running, watching sports and hanging out with his friends. In the future, he hopes to work in a university’s athletic department or become a play-by-play broadcaster for a baseball team.

Trevor McNeal

Multimedia Journalist

Trevor McNeal is a multimedia journalist for KUJH, joining the team in his senior year as a non-traditional student. He’s pursuing a degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in sport management, while working full-time as a supervisor at FedEx and serving in the United States Air Force. From 2018 to 2024, McNeal freelanced as a producer, host and commentator for numerous esports events before returning to school to fulfill his dream of earning a degree from the University of Kansas.

Yulisia Parker

Multimedia Journalist

Yulisia Parker is a senior from Kansas City, Missouri, majoring in journalism with a concentration in sports media and society and minoring in sport management. She is also working on getting name, image, and likeness certified. This is her first semester with KUJH as a multimedia journalist. Outside of class, Parker is a reporter and social media coordinator for “Playmakers KU.” She enjoys personal training, working out, listening to music and playing basketball.

Maya Smith

Multimedia Journalist

Maya Smith is a junior from Lawrence, Kansas, majoring in multimedia journalism and minoring in political science. This is her first semester with KUJH as a multimedia journalist. Outside of class, she works for the School of Journalism as a communications assistant and is a freelance reporter for the Kansas Reflector and The Lawrence Times. She enjoys photography and spending time with friends and family.

Jacob Wohlrabe

Multimedia Journalist

Jacob Wohlrabe is a Senior from Edina, Minnesota, majoring in sports journalism with a minor in film. He currently works for “Rock Chalk Video” in the Kansas Athletics Department, where he shoots video content. Outside of school, you can find Wohlrabe shooting a sporting event, playing music, playing pickleball and hanging out with friends.
