Professional Bull Riding made its return to Kansas City this past weekend at the T-Mobile Center. The event was full of action, celebration and of course bull riding. The season is starting to reach its close with the event in Kansas City being the second to last stop before the championship in Las Vegas Oct. 24 to 25.
Kyle Delphon, a fan at the event in Kansas City, said it is an event for all .
“Give it a shot, it’s fun to watch whether you have any experience or understanding of what’s going on at all. I think the action is worth all of it,” Delphon said.
At a PBR event the rules of the game are that the rider has to stay on for a total of eight seconds, he can’t touch the bull with his off hand, and the rider is judged and scored on how fluidly he can ride the bull.
Sounds simple;if you think that you would be able to stay on, the professionals disagree. “
For somebody that gets on for the first time, they may ride two jumps and think well I almost rode him, no you weren’t even close.” Bo Davis, the arena manager and former bull rider himself said.
Bull riding isn’t just for people who own a pair of boots, everyone is encouraged to check out the unique event at least once.
The week at Outlaw Days had everything you could ask for, great riding and close matchups. If you’re looking for something to pass the time, come kick up some dust and watch PBR.
